RCMA Receives $20,000 Grant for Miami-Dade County Child Development Center
IMMOKALEE (April 15) – RCMA, which operates seven child development centers serving almost 1,000 children in Miami-Dade County, received a $20,000 grant from the Ocean Reef Community Foundation. The funds will be used for security system upgrades in Homestead, FL.
This gift marks eight years of partnership that has resulted in over $100,000 in support over the years.
“We appreciate the commitment that the Ocean Reef Community Foundation made to improve the lives of the most vulnerable children in our community,” said Isabel Garcia, RCMA’s executive director. “Together, we are providing a safe place for children to learn and develop as their families work to pull themselves out of poverty.”
Headquartered in Immokalee and celebrating its 55th anniversary this year, RCMA is Florida’s largest non-profit provider of early childhood education. RCMA serves 6,500 children and their families in 21 Florida counties.
